On 13-17 March 2023, SCAO Group CEO Mr Keigo Shiomi travelled to Vietnam to meet up with leaders of Hanoi City.

Together with Japan Ambassador to Vietnam Mr Takio Yamada and BRG Group Chairwoman Madame Nga, Mr Shiomi met with Hanoi Chairman Mr Tran Sy Thanh and representatives of relevant departments and agencies of Hanoi City on 15 March 2023.

At the meeting, Mr Shiomi expressed his wish that Hanoi authorities would speed up the progress of adjusting the 1:500-scale masterplan for the North Hanoi Smart City project soon so that the project could be implemented and the construction could be commenced in this year, 2023, which marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. Mr Thanh promised to direct government agencies to quickly resolve outstanding issues to accelerate the project.

On the same day, Mr Shiomi also attended a meeting with leaders of Dong Anh District to discuss on the progress and acceleration of site clearance and land handover for project implementation.

Mr Shiomi and BRG Madame Nga also visited the North Hanoi Project site (including the Project Management Office) to see the actual situation and hear about the progress of site clearance.
