In the middle of last year, Phnom Penh office picked up the signs that WorldBridge International Group’s (WBG) Chairman, Neak Oknha Sear Rithy is still interested in steel products. Therefore, we have been trying to reconnect with WBG even though we have not had any Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with them since 2018.

We introduced WBG to Southern Steel Sheet Co. Ltd (SSSC), a joint venture company of Sumitomo Corporation in Vietnam, for Steel in Coil distributorship business in Cambodia. In the initial stage, SSSC suggested WBG to start the business as “Sales Agent”. The idea was accepted by WBG, and they have appointed WorldBridge Trading (WBT), a company under WBG of Companies, to handle this business.

Business Cooperation Agreement (BCA) was prepared and signed between SSSC and WBT on 9 February 2023. Following this BCA of “Sales Agent”, SSSC arranged a product training and factory visit in Vietnam for WBT from 23 to 24 May, whereby 2 senior staff from WBT attended and accompanied by persons-in-charge from Phnom Penh office.
