SCAO Yangon contributes essential supplies to School for the Deaf

The only true disability is the inability to accept and respect differences. To support the integration of DE&I into the development of education for differently abled young people, SCAO Yangon Office provided essential supplies to Mary Chapman, School for the Deaf, which is a leading education center for the deaf population in Myanmar. It has been providing home and higher education to the deaf and hard of hearing students for nearly a century since its founding.
For the second year in a row, 4 representatives from SCAO Yangon Office led by Office GM Mr Tomoyasu Shimizu visited the school on 30 August 2023 and contributed 25 bags of rice as a primary source of energy to 200 students residing at the school. This much needed contribution was warmly greeted and received by the school faculty members, teachers and students.
We wish our little contribution could light up hope and happiness of these young people who can make a difference with them being different.
