On 29 August 2023, SCTL proudly hosted the Global Study programme, an educational initiative organised by the Nation Federation of University Co-operative Association (NFUCA) in Japan. It was our third consecutive year of accommodating this event. This time, we welcomed a diverse group of 45 university students, including 26 Japanese and 19 Thai nationals.

During the event, SCTL provided the students with the opportunity to gain insights into the business world of Sumitomo through a Q&A session with the SCTL management including an eye-opening office tour. Additionally, we encouraged cross-cultural communication and collaboration through group discussions and presentations, focusing on the theme of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I).

At the end of the programme, the students provided positive feedback on how this initiative has helped them in gaining a better understanding of global corporate dynamics and preparing themselves for future careers upon their graduation.
