February – April 2024
Indonesia

In early 2024, SSRI demonstrated its commitment to supporting quality education in Indonesia through various initiatives. On 23 February, we conducted another EHON Project in Bali to promote the “I Love to Read” initiative. The Ehon Project in Bali engaged 56 children from primary school – SDN 03 Kutuh Bali, fostering a love for reading and learning basic Japanese. We gave out some stationery as souvenirs to appreciate the children’s enthusiasm.

Continuing the “I Love to Read” initiative, we collaborated with Lippo Group for an event at Lippo Mall Kemang, Jakarta on 21 April. This event was attended by at least 50 children from various backgrounds, primarily from underprivileged background. Some of SSRI’s employees volunteered to be the storytellers for both events, they also put up a small theatrical performance during our EHON Projects in Jakarta, delighting the young audience.

Recognising the value of lifelong education, we also hosted a seminar at the Binus University for 147 students on 27 March. The seminar aimed to provide them insights into work life and practical career guidance. An interactive talk show during the seminar encouraged student engagement and dialogue.

Besides this, we also arranged a Scholarship Award Ceremony on 5 March to get to know each of our scholarship recipient. The event, conducted in a casual setting, included a talk show and an office tour, allowing students to experience the company’s work environment and culture firsthand.
