Bangkok, Thailand
The Bangkok experience highlighted the importance of regional meetings for strategic planning, commitment to sustainable business practices, and our pride in contributing to significant infrastructure projects. Apart from attending the regional meeting of Chemical Solutions Group to discuss about strategic directions and actions, Mr Higashino toured the plant facilities of Bangchak Corporation, a long-standing partner of SC Thailand through our methanol trade. This partnership has now extended to the SAF raw materials business. Despite challenges in the SAF market such as high cost, aspirations of achieving a leading market position remains. Next, it was an eye-opening experience for Mr Higashino at The Red Line – the Bangkok Commuter Train System, a SC railway project. The quality of construction and train was truly impressive, with the line expected to serve Bangkok and beyond for many years to come. Come experience it yourself!
