Gladstone, Australia

While the global interest in hydrogen is growing, several scientific and governmental reports have found that Australia has a number of competitive advantages in producing hydrogen underpinned by rich renewable resources, land and existing infrastructure etc.

We are now expanding this future demand by developing a business case for hydrogen as a new energy source with scope for export and local consumption.

We have undertaken a feasibility study of hydrogen production in Gladstone, Queensland together with Mineral Resources Division No. 2 and Hydrogen Business Working Group in SC Tokyo. Our ultimate goal is to develop a hydrogen ecosystem in Gladstone where they have superior large-scale solar resources, governmental support and existing port infrastructure for future export of hydrogen. We are now in discussions with potential hydrogen off-takers to commence the hydrogen production in commercial scale, which would be a stepping-stone towards our goal.
