What were some of the major changes to the Media & Digital Industry you have witnessed over the years in your career?
Cloud. SaaS. AI. Smart phone. Google map. Amazon Web Service. Grab’s ride hailing, food delivery and Grab pay. There have been so many changes over the years, which I couldn’t foresee in the past.

Amidst rapid digital transformation, what changes are you leading in the Media & Digital BU so that we continue to stay relevant and outsmart competition?
Currently, the projects under my BU are MPT (Telco operator in Myanmar), Monotaro (B2B EC), ADA (Digital Ad and Digital Marketing) etc. These are all based on ‘Digital’ services. On top of these portfolio companies, we are trying to launch new business such as ‘Smart City IoT’ and ‘Digital Distribution’ etc.
We’ve heard you love camping! Please share with us why and some of your memorable camping experience.
The night sky with millions of stars and Milky Way seen from the peak of Mount Hotaka in Japan was breathtaking. Drinking wine and chatting with my family in front of a campfire was nice too.

If I have enough money to live comfortably without having to work, I would… start my own business
