On 17 December 2020, SSRI launched its first webinar through collaboration with a local university as one of our 100SEED programme. The objective was to share our experiences as a business practitioner to university students, which aims to provide the students with some ideas about the real operational activities in an organisation.

The first university we collaborated with was ITL Trisakti University, a well-known Logistics and Transportation Institute University located in Jakarta.
The webinar’s topic was “Revolution Industry 4.0: Implication for Management and Logistics Services”. The speakers were SSRI Director & GM of RM & Legal Dept Mr Surya Rahman, and Deputy Manager of RM & Legal Dept Ms Perhiasenta Ginting. There was also one representive speaker from the university, Ms Siska Silalahi who is a Lecturer of ITL Trisakti University.
In the beginning of the webinar, SSRI’s President Director Mr Hiroshi Karashima gave an opening speech. This virtual seminar lasted for 3 hours and went off well. It attracted a total of 462 participants and in the Q&A session, the participants’ enthusiastic feedback and queries showed their high level of interest and concerns about this topic. Besides joining through Zoom, the participants could also follow the webinar through YouTube channel and Live Instagram of ITL Trisakti University.

This webinar was a successful and there were positive responses from the university. We will continue to conduct more webinars with different topics by different speakers, through more involvement from SSRI’s members, to contribute to our society through such educational programmes.
