SCTL sets up Training Center for SC Group companies in Thailand

SCTL led by Risk Management Department, has initiated “SCTL Training Center” for staff in SC Group companies with the aim of supporting human resource development of SC Group and contributing to the business operations of SC Group companies in Thailand.

The objective of establishment is to enhance business knowledge and essential skills of SC Group companies’ staff by leveraging on SCTL professional capabilities. The trainers in the first year are from Risk Management Dept, ITC and Logistic Dept, while Human Resource Development Dept is the coordinator of this project to promote training programmes to SC Group companies. The training topics will be based on business circumstances in each fiscal year. For this year, we have designed and introduced courses to 11 SC Group companies in Thailand that focus mainly on the following 3 topics:

- Basic of Risk Management

This course was conducted in October 2020 with 70 participants. It has enhanced risk management mindset of participants, helped them to understand the concept of risk management and how to manage risks encountered in business operations.

- Financial Analysis

This course was conducted in January 2021 with 139 participants. The participants could enhance their understanding of the financial statement analysis method and financial ratios calculation for analysing their related parties’ financial performances and financial status.

- Security Trade Control (STC)

This course is scheduled to be conducted in March 2021. It will provide STC overview, as well as information focused on SC Group Policy as it relates to STC checklist procedure, including the introduction of Trade Controls on Weapons of Mass Destruction (TCWMD) Act, Thailand’s export control regulation on dual-use and military items which will be effective in the near future.
