Our business division contributes to combat climate change… by building strong HSE programme.

Often in our personal and work life, we unconsciously ignore the effects of our actions have on climate, which have become a burning issue for individuals, corporations and the Government.

Our business division’s primary field of works is in oil and gas, however we address this issue to a greater extend from the importance of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) perspective through our strong HSE Programme. The Programme, with trainings and systematic approach, helps our teams understand about environment regulations, identify the environmental hazards and its mitigation such as spillages, emissions and waste management.

In addition, I plan to keep a record of our business visits to domestic and overseas clients in order to keep track of our Scope-3 emissions (which includes business travel). On top of these, I have been using public transport (excluding during Covid-19) as much as possible to avoid the personal use of vehicles, which is a small yet important step to help reducing the emissions.

On personal basis, during Covid-19, the park in our residential complex was completely worn out due to the uncaring public. However, we have formed a small team to work on the garden and started to restore it to its original condition with great enthusiasm. Hope our little efforts will contribute to the improvement of the environment too!
