Since April 2021, India encountered its second wave of COVID-19 and the crisis has gone from bad to catastrophic in just a fortnight. With the unprecedented and sudden rise in infections across the country, India’s health infrastructure has been over-strained. Several Indian states have been raising the alarm over shortage of hospital beds and the supply of oxygen concentrators.

In view of the critical situation, there was an urgent need to protect the safety of  SCIN and SCAO group companies’ staff and their families in India. As such, under the instruction of SCAO Group CEO Mr Shiomi and SCAO COO Mr Uno, SCAO Singapore and SCTL procured a total of 22 units of oxygen concentrators in their respective countries and shipped the equipment to SCIN.
