Vietnam faced the 4th wave of Covid-19 spread and the situation became more serious since July 2021. Several localities were imposed with strict social distancing measures and the manufacturing and processing industries were required to have “3 on site” operation, in which all employees had to stay on site at the company premises 24 hours a day. Some affiliated companies in Steel Products were also forced to have “3 on site” operation based on the instructions from the authorities.

Affiliated company Address

Term of “3 on site” operation

Nippon Steel Metal Products Vietnam (NSMV) Bac Ninh Province 2 Jun ~ 2 Jul
Saigon Steel Service & Processing Co., Ltd (SGC) Dong Nai Province 8 Jul ~ 15 Oct
Southern Steel Sheet Co., Ltd (SSSC) Dong Nai Province 8 Jul ~ 25 Oct
Hanoi Steel Center (HSC) Hanoi City 12 Aug ~ 21 Sep

Among them, SSSC and SGC had applied “3 on site” operation for more than one month, so SCVN decided to provide essential goods for their employees who had been staying on site, as an encouragement. After due consideration on their requests, SCVN provided Japanese beef for 267 employees of SSSC and sporting goods, games, food, drink, medicines and supplements for 91 employees of SGC as our donation. We received thank you letters from both affiliates and their employees who were delighted and deeply appreciated this move.
