India – Sweet egg dessert

Halwa is a traditional sweet confectionery in India. It is traditionally prepared using flour, semolina, seeds and nuts etc. However today, there are lots of variety and one of the interesting ones is Ande Ka Halwa (Sweet Egg Pudding). Prepared with milk, khoya or milk powder, eggs, sugar, ghee, almonds, cashews, and raisins, it is a scrumptious dessert you wouldn’t want to miss but at the same time you need to add some flavour because it tastes too eggy. This Halwa is a rich, Indian dessert of eggs and milk flavoured with cardamom.
