SAPL raises fund for children in need through Variety SPIN 4 KIDS challenge

On 27 May, nine staff from Sydney office participated in a SPIN 4 KIDS Challenge, a fund raising event held by the children’s charity organisation called “Variety”. The idea is to get kids moving, and achieve independence. Money raised goes to families requiring specialist disability equipment.
The event had 21 Spin bikes, one bike allocated to each company.
SPIN 4 KIDS is a 5-hour team challenge where nine team members spent time spinning – each three times of approximately 10 minutes.
There were high-energy instructors in crazy costumes and music, pushing us to ride faster. There was a “CEO & Celebrity Spin-off” where our MD, Cash challenged himself and did an amazing job. Prizes were for the best-dressed team, highest Fundraising Team and the overall KINGS or QUEENS of spin.
This CSR event was great for Sumitomo in contributing to helping kids as well as a fabulous team building experience.
Staff raised AUD1,000 while the total raised for the day by participants was AUD160,000.
