Racial Harmony Day (Singapore)

Racial Harmony Day (Singapore)

Racial Harmony Day is an annual event held on 21 July to gain a deeper appreciation of racial harmony, multiculturalism and social cohesion. On this day, Singaporeans celebrate our diverse, cross-cultural character, and reflect on the importance of fostering harmony and understanding among all communities in our nation.  The day aims to remind that Singapore as a small nation must all work together to continue to grow Singapore and allow everyone a chance to play a part.

On 21 July, SCAO D&I Committee brought Racial Harmony Day to our Singapore Office through Racial Harmony TEA PARTY!

We enjoyed traditional snacks from 4 major ethnic groups of Singapore Chinese, Malays, Indian and others during our tea break. At the same time, we raised awareness about the importance of diversity and harmony and how they could lead to positive results/outcomes for as big scale as a Nation like Singapore, and for our case, a better workplace in Sumitomo.
