With its glorious journey of more than 100 years, University of Dhaka is the oldest and most renowned public university in Bangladesh. Students from different background come here for quality education.

In a developing country like Bangladesh, higher education is sometimes tough for meritorious students because of poverty, inadequate resources, lack of community involvement etc.

SCAO Dhaka office has been giving out Sumitomo Corporation scholarship to 40 students of Dhaka University every year since 1996, to help these underprivileged students, so that they can continue their study without any worries. To-date, we have given scholarship to more than 1,000 students. Through this programme, we are representing SC to engage in social contribution activities aimed at “Developing the Next Generation of Human Resources who will drive the sustainable development of the Country”. With this ongoing company’s commitment, we are trying our best to support the students in their study and in turn contribute to the development of Bangladesh.
