After promoting staff’s understanding in our company’s direction towards SHIFT 2023 through Annual Strategy Forum, SCTL arranged an in-house panel discussion called “Innovative Talk” on July 5, 2022. This activity aims to build an innovative culture within company and to keep staff’s eyes and ears open for new business trends and opportunities.
The event was conducted in a hybrid mode with more than 170 participants from SCTL and SC group companies. The main feature was on the importance of innovation and collaboration in Sumitomo Corporation under the theme of “Enriching the Future of Sumitomo Corporation: From core strength to collaborative”. The activity has provided staff an overview of technology and startup ecosystem, and included the sharing of potential business collaborations between startups and corporations.
Innovative Talk 2022 was divided into 3 parts. The first part was a powerful keynote sharing on overview of the technology and the startup ecosystem, which focused on the changes, the trends and opportunities in the upcoming future, by Mr Sarun, a partner in N-Vest Venture – an investment management firm.
Next was the panel discussion between SCTL and leading startups. Participants included Mr Soranun from ETRAN – an Electronic Company with Motorcycle EV Charger platform, and Ms Natthanathorn from iCarAsia – one of the leading auto advertising networks in Southeast Asia. During the session, participants shared the solutions to customers’ needs, points of view towards startups and corporate collaborations opportunities.
The event ended with the business showcases and 1-to-1 meetings with startups, which were held at SCTL’s office. This session provided our staff the opportunities to meet with startups and expand business connections, which are essential for SCTL sustainable growth.
