SC and Hiroshima University have been collaborating in various types of businesses.

In 2021, we signed the “Agreement of Comprehensive Collaboration for Smart City Development” in Higashi-Hiroshima City with Hiroshima University, amongst others. With this collaboration framework, we have been proceeding with many business studies and developments together.

In addition, from April 2022, we started the “Joint Research and Development Programme” to contribute and create new businesses in medical field in Indonesia. 7 doctors with various specialties such as surgery and respiratory medicine, have been coming to Indonesia sequentially every 2 months for this project. They visited hospitals and exchange information with local doctors with their expertise, so that we could identify the pain points and issues in Indonesia’s medical environment.

In October 2022, Indonesia’s Ministry of Health, Hiroshima University and SSRI signed an MOU with the vision of promoting collaboration in the medical field. With the MOU, we are confirming cooperation on medical research and development in Indonesia which aims to improve the level of medical skills and technology, transferring of knowledge and training of human resources in Indonesia’s medical fields. One action that is also important is seeking ways to develop digital medical platforms, such as collecting electronic records from individual medical data by physical diagnostic, genome data using medical equipment, wearable equipment, and sensors. We are currently preparing a cooperative system with hospitals to ensure that the MoU can be implemented and provide benefits for all stakeholders.

By collaborating with our partners, we believe SSRI will find solutions to tackle Indonesian medical issues.
