SCVN – My dear office

Sumitomo Corporation Vietnam LLC (SCVN) was established in 2007, formerly the Representative Office of SC in Vietnam. SCVN has two offices (one in Hanoi and the other one in Ho Chi Minh City) and one workstation in Vung Tau with approximately 100 employees in total, including rotating and non-rotating staff.

Business Ventures

The company focuses on not only traditional trading business, but also plays a crucial role in shaping Vietnamese modern lifestyle by participating in several projects in Vietnam. Some of the recent significant projects include Fujimart Supermarket project and North Hanoi Smart City project, which help SCVN to draw massive attention from the Vietnamese government, media and people. SCVN aims to create a new city with modern infrastructure, reaping maximum benefits from these two projects. In both projects, SCVN has the chance to collaborate with one of Vietnamese leading firms in multi-sector enterprise, the BRG Group.

Giving back to the Society

Besides business, SCVN plays an active role in promoting Japanese culture to Vietnamese children by sponsoring to publish Ehon picture books. It also promotes Japanese business culture through SC / SCVN‘s sponsored lectures at Vietnamese Universities. The Company also supports the testing of cultivation techniques for high quality agricultural product (melon) in Quang Tri province to contribute to the economic development as well as increase the value of agricultural production in Vietnam.

Our dear office and colleagues

The SCVN Hanoi office is comfortable with elegant interior design and is always decorated with fresh flowers. We adopt open workspace concept, so staffs can easily communicate across departments. SCVN’s employees are always motivated to promote creativity and collaborative spirits. Outside work, we held several activities to enhance bonding among colleagues such as office tour, outing trip or sometimes surprise events, such as one held by male colleagues to celebrate Vietnamese Women Day for female colleagues.

The caring friendship of fellow colleagues made us happy to work physically in the office than working from home.
