On 20 July, 1/500 detailed master plan (MP) of North Hanoi Smart City project was approved by Hanoi People’s Committee (HPC) at a dinner ceremony. The representatives from each party were Chairman of HPC Mr Tran Sy Thanh, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Mr Takio Yamada , Deputy General Director of BRG Mr Le Anh and SCAO Group CEO Mr Keigo Shiomi.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Yamada emphasised in his speech that it is the largest project in Hanoi invested by Japan and a symbolic cooperation project between Japan and Vietnam.

Sumitomo and BRG submitted the local adjustment of MP in 2019 to change the Phase 1-2 development land-use plan from green area to residential area. This 1/500 MP was the final step after the approval of 1/10000 MP in 2021 and 1/5000 MP in 2022. By getting the 1/500 MP, we can further move on to acquiring land-use right, designing, and starting construction works for both infrastructures and buildings.
