Business Development Division (BDD) has been successful in winning the SA Power Networks 36kV &72kV VCB state tender. SA Power is the sole electricity distributor in South Australia where SAPL will be the primary Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) supplier which will all be manufactured by our regular supplier Meidensha Corporation Japan.

The SA Power network has 87,500 km’s of electricity power lines and supplies to approximately 830,000 residential and commercial customers. The term of tender will be on a long-term 5-year basis with all inventory centralised in one location in Adelaide.

Strategically now, this is a very good opportunity for SAPL to cross promote our other related distribution services such as cabling, switchgear, connectors & transformers to the different parts of SA Powers operations utilising our vast network of specialised power equipment manufacturers and logistics service providers.
