Business Expansion of Thai’s “Prepared Flour Mixes” (premixes) Business in SCAO region

SCTL Food & Materials Dept has engaged Thai Nisshin Technomic Co, Ltd. as business partner since 1992. Thai Nisshin Technomic (TNT) produces and markets Prepared Flour Mixes (premixes) for chickens, seafood and bakeries. Our domestic customers are among leading conglomerates who operates integrated agro-industrial and food business, as well as Seafood Processors namely CPF Group, Tyson, King Fisher, Thai Delmar and so on.

Some value added chicken products are imported into Japan via SC Foods. We also supply premixes to Bakery OEM manufacturers for supermarkets and convenience stores.

With close partnership of TNT and Sumitomo, we stably expanded premixes sales not only in Thailand but also in Asia. Since 2018, we have aggressively penetrated into new markets. There were SCAO Group Conferences held at SCTL and product trainings for overseas staff at TNT Research and Development Center in August 2018 and May 2019, focusing on food business potential in Southeast Asia. We are happy to have gained full support and cooperation from colleagues in Yangon, Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Dhaka, Jakarta, Taiwan and Chennai to expand the business jointly.

We are currently exploring new overseas market, thanks to the encouraging result of cross collaboration and close communication among regional offices. The team has been visiting several potential customers for market research and analysis. We promote TNT’s R&D and sales in each country as well as invite the customers for product demonstration in Thailand.

We have started first ‘MaeSot Thailand – Myawaddy Myanmar cross border trade’ of bakery mixes from July 2019 in addition to sea shipments.   From 14 to 17 October 2019, we travelled to India Chennai, Nellore, and Kochi to visit 3 clients with TNT and SC Chennai office. In July 2020, we are going to have the first cross-border trade of bakery mix from Bangkok to Phnom Penh for Real Food & Beverage Co., Ltd under DFI Lucky Private Ltd group in Cambodia.  

Overall, the target clients are different in each market. The following lists are some of the prospects whom our team visited with the regional offices in the past months: 

• Myanmar – fast food chain, bakery and confectionary manufacturers, namely Parisian Cake and Coffee, SP Bakery, J’Donuts, Shwe Palin Tea House
• Cambodia – fast food chain and Bakery shops such as DFI Lucky Group, CP Five Star, Lotteria, ABC Bakery 
• Malaysia – fast food chain and supermarket such as Marrybrown, Village Grocery 
• Bangladesh – chicken and frozen food processors such as Kazi, CP Five Star, Golden Harvest
• India – seafood processors such as BMR, Alpha Marine, Amalgam Foods
• and so on.

We are also exploring new prospects in the Philippines and Laos.
