On 13 Aug 2022, Van Phong Power Company Limited (VPCL) held “Van Phong Summer Festival” for children near the project site located in Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. This is one of CSR activities in VPCL which aims at building up relationship with local community and introducing foreign and Vietnamese culture.

The festival was like a Japanese traditional summer festival. Not only VPCL, other project related companies IHI, Toshiba, Doosan and CTCI as EPC contractors and KVPS as O&M contractors opened stalls wearing Happi (Japanese traditional festival cloth) and organised games for children. The traditional performances like Dragon dance and Bamboo dance were held at the center stage. At the last, all participants are invited to join Bon Dance, which is one of Japanese traditional dances.

Approximately 1,500 local children and their family members (nearly 1/4 of total population of the community!) visited the festival and enjoyed the fun together.
