As part of our CSR initiatives, we sponsored MYR10,000 to a charity football match between Malaysian Deaf Tiger (MDT) team and Malaysia Japan All-Stars (MJAS) team. This charity drive with the support of National Sports Council was organised by Yakult Malaysia to help the Malaysian Sports Association for the Deaf raise funds for sports development for year 2022.
The MJAS team included many famous Malaysian footballers and several Japanese big names like football legend Masashi Motoyama.
The event was a success with over 18,000 people watching at the stadium and via LIVE streaming. It ended with a final score of 6-1 to the MJAS team.
The MDT team is currently in the group of 24 best teams in the world and ranked 6th in Asia Pacific (2018) and 2nd in the ASEAN region (2016) for Deaf football. The team has qualified for the 24th Deaflympic Games in Brazil in May 2022.
