Chinese New Year Celebration with Home Nursing Foundation

On 10 February, SCAO celebrated Chinese New Year with Home Nursing Foundation (HNF) by providing Home Essentials Goodie Bags and Celebration Lunch to patients at 2 of their centres located in Buangkok and Hougang.

With the risk of COVID-19 still present, the celebration this year had to be scaled down to limited patients at each centre. Therefore SCAO decided to provide a good lunch and goodie bags to help hype up the atmosphere for the celebration. We were delighted that the patients had a great time!

Mock interviews with Grace Orchard School

On 23 February, SCAO collaborated with Grace Orchard School (GOS) to conduct mock interview sessions for the graduating students. It is the first time that GOS utilised a virtual platform to conduct mock interview sessions for individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges.

One-on-one mock interviews were conducted over video to help emerging professionals gain confidence in sharing more about themselves through practising employment interview skills. As the students will be stepping out into the society soon, it is important for them to be ready for the challenges to come.

And…the interviewers were none other than Shirlaine and Claire from SCAO HR!  Thank you so much for your time and feedback to the students! With this, the students can now better prepare themselves for what is to come in the corporate world.
