SCAO Yangon contributes essential supply and teaching aid to School for the deaf and School for disabled

August 2022
Yangon, Myanmar

It’s a time to focus on abilities, not disabilities. To integrate with D&I, support education and development of differently abled young people, SCAO Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw offices provided essential supplies to Mary Chapman (School for the deaf) and Eden Center (Center for disabled children). These schools are providing enhanced educational and life growth experience to 400 children with difficulties in hearing and physically disabled.

On 3rd and 5th August 2022, 5 representatives from SCAO Yangon office led by Office GM Mr. Takayuki Onishi and Deputy Office GM Mr. Masakazu Fujita visited the schools. 28 bags of Rice was presented to Mary Chapman as a primary source of energy to 200 students resided at the School. We also made cash donation to help Eden Center to cover their communication cost on conducting online zoom classes for about one academic year.

We believe our small contribution can light up hope of young people, who can make a difference with them being different.
