Sponsoring of sports training centre for the visually challenged
Janta Rehabilitation Training Centre, established in 1996 is working for the welfare of the visually challenged. Its aim is to empower the visually handicapped to lead a normal life by teaching them skills free of charge.
For FY2022, their request was mainly related to sports which would help their beneficiaries to perform at state and national levels. This would provide them the platform for employment opportunities in the field of sports and thereby enable them to be independent. In response to their request, SCIN sponsored the construction of a Judo training centre.
Opening ceremony of the Judo training centre was held on 29 March 2023 and attended by SCIN Chairman and Managing Director Mr Takuro Horikoshi, Corporate Director Mr Takashi Sakuma, and other staff from SCIN.
Renovation and donation for the orphans and neglected children
Bal Sahyog was established in 1954 to care and protect orphans, as well as helpless, abandoned and neglected children. Its aim is to protect the rights of these children by rescuing them from difficult circumstances.
For FY2022, its requirement was related to renovation of the place where the children stay and donation of blankets which will help to keep them warm during winters. They had also requested for a smart digital classroom board to enable them to conduct better quality education for the children.
Ceremony was conducted on 24 February 2023 and attended by Chairman and Managing Director Mr Takuro Horikoshi, Corporate Director Mr Takashi Sakuma, Head of HR Dept Ms Pooja Singh and other SCIN staff.

Donation of medical equipment to the poor
Ramakrishna Mission was established in 1924 and works to help the poor and the tribals through value-based education and provide health services to build a healthy society.
Ramakrishna Mission Hospital had a humble beginning in 1929, when a charitable dispensary was started to serve poor people in disciplines such as Medicine, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dentistry, ENT, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Neurology, Nephrology and Physiotherapy. Surgical procedures in various disciplines are conducted in four Operation Theatres. They have in-house facilities for Pathology and Radiology investigations which serve 24X7.
For FY2022, they had an urgent requirement for X-ray film printer (Fuji Dry Laser Imager DryPix Smart Printer). A ceremony to handover the printer was held on 21 March 2023 and it was attended by Mumbai office General Manager Mr Takayuki Kanauchi and Ms Mrudula Samant from SCIN.

Home for the Children
NGO CHILD was established in 2005. The Organisation supports children who are abandoned or come from troubled families. The Organisation provides holistic support including providing care, medicines, nutritious food, education, talent and skill development. The key facet of NGO CHILD is to provide a home-like environment with complete emotional and psychological support to ensure that the children receive good upbringing and become exceptional global citizens with great values, and integrate seamlessly into the mainstream society.
NGO CHILD wanted to set-up a computer training room equipped with laptops and desktops, to train the needy children in basic and intermediary computer skills, so as to empower these children, enabling them to acquire the IT skills required for getting a job and enhancing their livelihood in the future.
