SCIN helps disadvantaged students through 100SEED programme

24 February 2023
New Delhi, India

We conducted 100SEED activity for FY2022 on 24 February 2023. Some of our staff visited NGO Bal Sahyog to conduct 2 activities – career counselling session and tree plantation drive.

Bal Sahyog was founded by the late Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi in 1954. Its aim is to protect the rights of socially and economically disadvantaged children by rescuing them from difficult circumstances, providing them shelter, nutrition, health care, education, dignity and conducive environment.

Career counselling session

The counselling session was for 9th to 12th Grade students. These students posed different types of queries like which course they should select after school, or which vocational course they can select so that they can earn and become independent. Some of the students are not interested in studies so they wanted to know what they can do to fulfill their passion in different fields. Our staff helped the students in their queries and guided them on what they can do to fulfill their dreams in different categories like videography, dance, culinary courses, painting, etc. They were so happy and thankful for the session.

Tree plantation drive

Our staff also planted trees at the premise of NGO Bal Sahyog on that day, to demonstrate our support in tackling environmental issues like deforestation, soil erosion, as well as enhancing the beauty and balance of the environment. Trees absorb harmful gases and emit oxygen which helps in increasing oxygen supply in the surrounding.
