SCOP Chemicals Dept goes paperless to combat climate change
Our business division contributes to combat climate change… by going paperless!!
In the past, it was easier to print just about any documents without realising that 1 tree is needed to be cut down in order to make 17 reams of paper. In a regular week, about 2-3 reams of paper were used which means we were killing about 10 trees per year.
However, facing the pandemic made us realise that we can stop printing unnecessary documents. By reducing paper usage, we can have a direct impact on reducing our carbon footprint and CO2 emissions. There is obviously a carbon footprint created with each new device but starting from a simple paperless operation is a great way to start combating climate change.
