On 11 May 2024 (Saturday), SCOP conducted its second CSR activity as part of the SCOP Project Padayon initiative. Padayon means keep going, not giving up in Philippines language. The event took place at Labney Integrated School in Mayantoc, Tarlac City, Philippines, and was a continuation of the 100SEED programme, which aims to foster community development and provide sustainable education.

The day-long event was memorable for the volunteers from SCOP, the beneficiary school, and the partner NGO, Black Pencil Project. The CSR activity focused on planting seeds and nurturing young learners, symbolising the company’s commitment to growth and prosperity specifically in communities that lack support and assistance when it comes to education.

The volunteers gathered early in the morning and travelled five hours to reach the school, which is located remotely in a valley tucked at the eastern slopes of Zambales Mountain. SCOP donated litres of paint, teaching kits, and 400 sets of school supplies to the learners of Labney Integrated School. The volunteers engaged with the learners and the local community by conducting a feeding programme and sharing inspiring knowledge through a small talk. The event not only contributed to the school and learners but also significantly impacted the volunteers by using this opportunity to bring light and positive change not just to the community but also to everyone.

The SCOP 100SEED CSR activity is proof of the company’s dedication to giving back to its community and efforts to make a positive impact on society. It reflects SCOP’s core values of sustainability, community engagement, and social responsibility, setting a benchmark for future CSR initiatives.
