SCTL 100SEED Light Up – Teacher Development Programme

SCTL launched 3 sub-projects (“Button Up”, “Power Up” and “Light Up”) under 100SEED programme, which aims to develop education from upstream to downstream in one focused area, Angthong province in Thailand.
Recently, SCTL ran the “Light Up” project – a training programme for several schools’ management and teachers, to raise awareness in essential skills for the 21st century. Light Up project consisted of 4 main activities:
- Mindset development programme for 20 Principals to raise their awareness in 21st century skills required for students through its vision and policy;
- 3 days Active Math training with high-impact teaching practices to 30 Mathematics Teachers;
- 2 times hands-on mentoring for professional learning community (PLC) in October and December 2020;
- Provision of learning equipment to all participants for their use in actual classes in schools;
We anticipated that “Light Up” project could benefit over 600 students and around 25 staff who were engaged as observers.
