The global AC industry market value was US$240.8 billion in 2019, and is expected to witness a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.8% during the forecast period (2020–2030), to reach US$358.1 billion in 2030. The augmenting demand for energy-efficient air conditioning systems and governments’ pro-activeness for their installations are projected to be the major driving factors for the AC industry. The major demand is from Asia-Pacific due to rapid infrastructure development and the rising inclination of people toward lifestyle products across the region.

“Global AC demand trend”
Thailand is the second largest exporter of AC globally. It is concentrated with Japanese manufacturers such as Mitsubishi Electric (MCP), Daikin (DIT), Toshiba (TCTC), Mitsubishi Heavy Industry (MACO) and Fujitsu General (FGT) holding the top positions, accounting for almost 75% of the market share as of now. In Thailand, our Non-Ferrous Products & Metals Dept has been supplying Aluminium Fin stock and Copper tube mainly for 2 Japanese customers (i.e. MACO and FGT), who have total 21% market share in Thailand.

“Thai AC Manufacturers”
We are now having over 70% supply share of Aluminium Fin stock to MACO, thanks to our professional JIT operation and a technology strength of our supply source (i.e. UACJ Thailand).
Aiming for our further profit growth, we are now trying to promote our imported materials which come from China and Malaysia. In addition, as an activity to utilise our internal strengths, we are co-working with our Chemical team in Thailand that works with major clients such as DIT, TCTC, and Sharp.
