As a yearly event,  SSRI’s Labour Union always prepared flag-raising ceremony and competition for Independence Day celebration. After 2 years of online/hybrid celebration during the pandemic, it was time to re-strengthen the relationships and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion among SSRI, JPCO, and Summit Niaga.

This year, the Labour Union collaborated with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) team to host the Independence Day competition with the theme “Indonesian Traditional Competition”. It is an Indonesian culture to celebrate Independence Day with traditional games, and this competition brought us back to our childhood time. The competition comprised marbles and spoon race, rope/bakiak walking, balloon dance, putting pencils into bottles and guess the word. Employees from the three companies, including our Japanese colleagues,  were divided into 6 groups. The group which gained the highest total points from each game won the competition.
