20 January 2023 was a blessed day for us because not only the morning was beautiful but we met with our scholarship recipients. We chatted and got to know them personally besides just giving money.

They come from a top university in Indonesia, scoring minimum GPA 3 and are actively involved in many co-curricular activities in their university.

The students listened attentively when we introduced the history and businesses of Sumitomo Corporation and Sumitomo Indonesia. It was a surprise to us when they asked questions on how caring we are about climate change, education and business, because they too care!

Instantly we smiled and knew that we had awarded the scholarship to the right recipients. We hope that the spirit of 100SEED can be conveyed and will continue for another hundred years.
