SC President and CEO Mr Masayuki Hyodo, was on business trip to attend Asia Business Council, held in Bangkok during September 21-22, 2023. Taking this opportunity, Mr Hyodo shared his valuable time with SCTL colleagues for a Town Hall meeting on 22 September 2023. About 210 colleagues welcomed him and joined this Town Hall meeting, either in person or through online.

SCTL colleagues had a dynamic direct exchange with Mr Hyodo through interactive Q&A session in the one-hour Town Hall meeting. This meeting fostered open communication, allowing our colleagues to gain valuable insights into Mr Hyodo’s vision and opinion regarding global movements such as sustainability, carbon neutrality, energy transition, digitalisation, etc. This allowed a deeper exploration of the opportunities and challenges that these movements present to Sumitomo Corporation. The discussion also touched on company’s policy and SHIFT2023 progress which, SCTL colleagues had clearer understanding of Sumitomo Corporation’s goal.

This direct connection with Mr Hyodo would enhance unity, determination and dedication among our colleagues to work together towards achieving overall mission, dreams and goals, not only in SCTL but also Sumitomo Corporation.
